The companies Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung GmbH and Hofmann Kran-Vermietung GmbH & Co. KG are renowned providers in the field of crane and work platform rental, each with over 60 years of experience. They have been combining their expertise together within the Franz Bracht Group for several years. The group offers comprehensive services, including the rental of mobile cranes and work platforms. Heavy and special transport, industrial assembly and logistics solutions are also part of the range of services. They handle their tasks with an impressive fleet of more than 1,200 specialized vehicles.

Trust for many years

ES-GE has regularly supplied both Bracht and Hofmann with vehicles since our company was founded in 1986. In this way, we have been helping to equip the group’s fleet for growing requirements for decades. We recently delivered three vehicles each to Hofmann and Bracht. All trailers are tailored to the individual needs of the group of companies and are designed to further increase the flexibility of the fleet.

Bracht and Hofmann with six tailor-made vehicles

Despite belonging to the Bracht Group, Hofmann has kept its original colors. The ordered pack of three was waiting for its new owner on our company premises in Essen, painted blue from the factory. Two MAX Trailer platform trailers type MAX200 and an ES-GE tandem trailer started their service together. A pack of three was also ready for Bracht to pick up. It consisted of two ballast semi-trailers type MAX410 from MAX Trailer and an ES-GE tandem trailer, traditionally painted in Bracht’s bright yellow.

ES-GE tandem trailer: versatile applications

The two ES-GE centre-axle trailers delivered are identical in construction and only differ in their paintwork. The hot-dip galvanized and air-sprung trailers are equipped with container locks that are designed for the transport of both standard 20-foot containers and extra-wide containers up to a width of 3,000 mm. Thanks to the pull-out container locks and the extendable drawbar, which can be locked in six different positions in 100 mm increments, the trailer offers flexible adjustment options.

Practical options on the central axle trailer

The trailer also offers a flexible solution at the rear. Its built-in rear extension enables the loading area to be technically extended by up to 800 mm. The four stainless steel tool boxes and the aluminum rims from Alcoa are particularly practical. They are not only functional, but also look great. For additional flexibility, two aluminum ramps are included in the delivery. The can be stowed underneath the loading floor to save space. With a dead weight of around 4,200 kg, depending on the equipment, the trailer offers an impressive payload ratio. The technically possible total weight of the central axle trailer is up to 20,500 kg.

MAX200 Megatrailer from MAX Trailer

The MAX200 from MAX Trailer impresses with its robust and high-quality construction. By using the latest materials and manufacturing methods MAX Trailer ensures the longevity of their trailers and semi-trailers. It also offers crane operators or special and heavy transport companies the opportunity to transport goods safely and efficiently. The construction of the MAX200 is based on a chassis made of fine-grain steel. Materials and construction ensure a low empty weight of just around 7,530 kg. The vehicle therefore technically offers a payload of around 37,470 kg.

Megatrailer for lowliner tractor units

Designed as a megatrailer, the MAX200 offers a fifth wheel height of between 950 and 1,050 mm when loaded. Therefore it is suitable for operation with so-called lowliner tractor units. The low loading area is covered with a 38 mm thick hardwood floor, which ensures high load-bearing capacity and durability. There are numerous options for securing loads in and on the loading area of ​​the MAX200, including 6 pairs of folding lashing rings with a load capacity of 5,000 daN and 2 pairs of folding lashing rings with 10,000 daN. The integrated WADER container locks and pockets also enable the safe transport of containers of different sizes.

MAX Trailer ballast trailer MAX410

The two MAX410 ballast semi-trailers from MAX Trailer delivered to Bracht offer numerous advantages. The vehicle type is ideal for transporting crane weight and components. With a technically possible payload capacity of approx. 45,080 kg, the ballast semi-trailer is ideally equipped to efficiently transport relevant crane components or crane weights. The loading area made of 30 mm thick hardwood flooring ensures the necessary durability, while the numerous lashing rings (8 pairs, each foldable) enable optimal load securing. Like the MAX200 from Hofmann, the chassis is designed for durability and efficiency. The steel construction, made of high-strength fine-grain steel, and the high-quality paintwork are effective protection against corrosion.
